Via SNN: Survivor has its first deaf contestant. Christy Smith, the 24-year-old camp counselor from-- oh, forget it. Christy is severely hearing impaired, although not completely deaf, and can only hear very minimal sounds. Survivor host Jeff Probst told ZAP2IT that the producers did not brief any of the other Survivors about Christy's condition, leaving it up to her when and if to reveal it to them.

Jenny: "Wow. She'll either win the game or be the first one to go."
Me: "You say that about everyone."
