Practicalmadness

For a couple of days now, the Dr. Pepper in the soda fountain at the 7-Eleven on the corner has been...funky.

This evening when I went in for a Big Gulp, I decided to try before I bought it, as well as to test my theory as to what's wrong. What is that, you ask? The Dr. Pepper I bought the other day had a saccharine taste -- it practically reeked of artificial sweetener. So this is a cut-and-dried case where they accidentally swapped the regular and diet Dr. Pepper, or ran out of the former so just doubled up on the latter, right?

Possibly, but not even bona fide Diet Dr. Pepper tastes that sacchariney. I know this; I checked.

This evening I have nursed a Coke instead of a Pepper. It is not the same.
